COMMON SIDE EFFECTS ARE:
Skin redness, minor skin swelling, minor pain, redness and itchiness. Less common side effects include: infection, hyper pigmentation, cold sores, demarcation lines, acne. A very important post-procedure precaution is avoidance of sun exposure during healing. While you are wiping your skin with a warm cloth you can carefully slide the dead skin off. Try not to press and slide. Your skin may peel a few times and it’s best not to press and pull to avoid discomfort. This symptom passes very quickly. After you bathe your skin in warm water you will be bright red! Basically your remaining old skin will be massaged away on the new skin, which is now very absorbent.

WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR HERB REJUVENATION PEEL?
You are not suitable for a peel -
• If you are pregnant, have HIV/AIDS or are
immunosuppressed.
• If you are taking Roaccutane you must wait 6
months after the end of your therapy before you

WHAT IS GLYCOLIC ACID?
Glycolic acid is an AHA derived from sugar cane and one of the first acids used for cosmetic rejuvenation of the skin. Salicylic acid is a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, which is an outstanding deep cleanser especially designed for the skin. Acne vulgaris is the most "common" form of acne. This happens by an excess secretion of oils from the sebaceous glands in conjunction with dead skin cells (corneocytes) which block the follicle of the hair. These oil secretions build up underneath the blocked pore, creating a perfect environment for bacteria. Salicylic acid works best on acne prone and sensitive skin types. Because of the larger size of the molecule, salicylic acid generates less irritation than the alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid), allowing the structure to cling to the surface for longer periods of time, resulting in excellent deep pore cleaning abilities. Salicylic acid destroys the bacteria below and unclogges the pores, allowing the skin to breathe.

BENEFITS OF ALPHA HYDROXY ACID (AHA) -
The main difference between alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids is their lipid (oil) solubility. Alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid) are very water soluble only, whereas the beta hydroxy acid is lipid (oil) soluble. This means that beta hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) can penetrate into the pore which contains sebum and exfoliate the dead skin cells that are built up inside the pore. Because of this difference in physical properties, the beta hydroxy acid is better on oily skin with blackheads and whiteheads. Alpha hydroxy acids are better used on thickened, sun-damaged skin where breakouts are not a problem. Alpha Hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids ensure that almost all skin types will respond to this type of treatment. Research has also shown that Glycolic Acid will penetrate more effectively through an exfoliated surface. Applying salicylic acid in conjunction with glycolic acid will achieve an extremely effective skin exfoliation and skin peel rejuvenation treatment especially for those with oily skin! With our peel the results are priceless, however recovery time can last much longer up to 2 full weeks or sometimes more. The type and number of peels required depend on your skin type and the concerns that need addressing. The degree of sun damage, skin pigmentation, enlarged or congested pores, skin ageing, or a tendency to acne determine what peel is best for your face.

The best peels for pigmentation: AHA face peels such as glycolic or lactic acid are best for pigmentation. The lactic acid is more hydrating, making it a better choice for mature, dry skin affected by pigmentation. This can be combined with 100% ascorbic acid or vitamin C. Though not strictly a peel ascorbic acid has enormous skin lightening and brightening qualities.

Glycolic Acid is part of the alpha hydroxy family. Alpha hydroxy acids are produced naturally from fruits and foods. Glycolic acid peels are derived from sugar cane and is the smallest in molecule size of all alpha hydroxy acids. This means it penetrates the skin more easily than other alpha hydroxy acids resulting in more dramatic faster results.
Lactic acid is derived from yogurt, buttermilk, or sour cream and is much milder than other alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid. Great for first timer Peel users or those with sensitive skin. Acid has one of the largest molecules, so penetration is much slower which results in less irritation to the skin.
As with Glycolic Acid, it works by loosening the glue like substance that bind skin cells together. It works on the epidermis layer of the skin only, so it is not a deep peel. However it does stimulate elastic fibers and promotes growth new collagen in the dermis layer of the skin.

Wipe over entire face and neck area of your client with hands or a brush. Allow to sit on skin for 15 – 20 minutes. Remove with cool water.

Arbutin, a natural skin lightening agent. It works by blocking tyrosinase activity in the skin, so reducing the formation of melanin. Detailed and extensive research has shown that the agent Arbutin sends a signal to melanocytes cells telling them there is sufficient melanin already produced. This results in the melanocytes turning of production of the melanin producing cells. It also protect the skin against damage caused by free radicals. COMMON SIDE EFFECTS ARE:
Skin redness, minor skin swelling, minor pain, redness and itchiness. Less common side effects include: infection, hyper pigmentation, cold sores, demarcation lines, acne. A very important post-procedure precaution is avoidance of sun exposure during healing. While you are wiping your skin with a warm cloth you can carefully slide the dead skin off. Try not to press and slide. Your skin may peel a few times and it’s best not to press and pull to avoid discomfort. This symptom passes very quickly. Salicylic acid is a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, which is an outstanding deep cleanser especially designed for the skin. Acne vulgaris is the most "common" form of acne. This happens by an excess secretion of oils from the sebaceous glands in conjunction with dead skin cells (corneocytes) which block the follicle of the hair. These oil secretions build up underneath the blocked pore, creating a perfect environment for bacteria. Salicylic acid works best on acne prone and sensitive skin types. Because of the larger size of the molecule, salicylic acid generates less irritation than the alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid), allowing the structure to cling to the surface for longer periods of time, resulting in excellent deep pore cleaning abilities. Salicylic acid destroys the bacteria below and unclogges the pores, allowing the skin to breathe.

BENEFITS OF ALPHA HYDROXY ACID (AHA) -
The main difference between alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids is their lipid (oil) solubility. Alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid) are very water soluble only, whereas the beta hydroxy acid is lipid (oil) soluble. This means that beta hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) can penetrate into the pore which contains sebum and exfoliate the dead skin cells that are built up inside the pore. Because of this difference in physical properties, the beta hydroxy acid is better on oily skin with blackheads and whiteheads. Alpha hydroxy acids are better used on thickened, sun-damaged skin where breakouts are not a problem. Alpha Hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids ensure that almost all skin types will respond to this type of treatment. Research has also shown that Glycolic Acid will penetrate more effectively through an exfoliated surface.
